Green Beans

2 T butter
2-3 T honey
1 t. Vinegar (cider)
1/2 t. salt
1/2 lemon
1 unpared apple, cored and diced
1 medium onion, chopped: OPTIONAL
1 t. cornstarch
1 T water
2 cups green beans, cooked

Mix butter, honey, vinegar, salt, lemon and bring to boil, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.
Stir in apple and onion to cook until apple is tender.
Mix together cornstarch and water and add and bring to boil and cook gently for 3 minutes.
Add beans and heat.
Canned beans can be used.
