~ Pollywog Creek ~: Saturday Photo Hunt - Sweet: "It's summer in the South! Is there anything sweeter or more refreshing than a tall class of sweet tea?
Southern Sweet Tea
Makes One Gallon
4 quart size tea bags (Luzianne is best!)
2 cups sugar (or Splenda, if you prefer)
Bring any amount of water to a boil, but about 1 quart works well. Remove water from burner, add tea bags, cover and steep for about 10-15 minutes. Gently squeeze out the tea bags before removing. Add sugar to hot tea and stir until completely dissolved. Add ice to the sugar/tea mix just to cool it a little before pouring into gallon container. Add more ice or cool water to make a full gallon.
Serve over ice with a wedge of lemon.
Store in refrigerator."
