Vermont Common Cracker Apple or Rhubarb Crisp

1 cup Common Cracker crumbs
1/2 cup melted butter
2 cups sliced apples or rhubarb
1 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix butter and cracker crumbs. Combine rhubarb and sugar. Make layers of rhubarb mixture and crumb mixture, ending with crumbs. Bake for 40 minutes and serve warm with ice cream.

    Making quadruple recipe of rhubarb crisp for us and Amy. Rhubarb is my own. Not the Canadian rhubarb (it's pretty slow growing). Using more crackers is plausible. Less sugar?
